Badagry, Lagos State — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has intensified its grassroots safety advocacy with a comprehensive road safety lecture for drivers and business associates of Alado Group of Companies in Badagry, Lagos State.

The sensitisation programme, held in Badagry, brought together FRSC officers from the Ajara Unit under the supervision of Mr. Shokunbi and Mr. Akin, alongside other officials from the FRSC Badagry Head Office, Ajara. The session focused on defensive driving, vehicle maintenance, speed management, and the shared responsibility of employers and drivers in reducing road crashes.

Addressing participants, an FRSC coordinator emphasised the need for discipline and compliance with traffic regulations. “Road safety is not only the duty of enforcement agencies; it is a collective responsibility. When drivers obey traffic rules and companies insist on safety standards, lives are saved and businesses thrive,” he said.

The programme opened with a prayer session led by Chief Imam Ajetilaye and other clerics from Ajara Tako Mosque, who prayed for accident-free journeys, peace in the community, and the prosperity of local businesses.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Baale, Toniyan of Ajara Topa Kingdom, Badagry, commended the initiative and praised the leadership of Chief Kilanko Ibrahim Olalowo, popularly known as ALADO. He described Olalowo as “a good example and a role model to the people of Badagry,” noting his consistent commitment to philanthropy and community development.

“Chief Kilanko is a faithful man who does not joke with matters that concern others. He sees people as himself, and that is why his impact is felt across Badagry,” the Baale said. He offered prayers for the continued growth of Olalowo’s businesses, including Finar Hotel and Resort, IB-Kilanko Unique Concept, and Alado Group of Companies, wishing them success “in all ramifications.”
