As part of activities to promote spiritual reflection, unity, and charitable values during the holy month of Ramadan, the Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, will on Friday host the fourth edition of his annual Ramadan Lecture in Ibadan.
The event, scheduled to hold on March 13, 2026, at the BCOS Garden, Bashorun, Ibadan, is expected to attract Islamic scholars, political leaders, clerics, party faithful, and members of the public from across Oyo State and beyond.
Themed around “Oselurere” (Good Governance), the lecture will be delivered by renowned Islamic scholar, Fadheelatus-Shaykh Al-Mufasir Usman Sannu Sheu, the Chief Tafseer of Ilorin Emirate, Al-Adaby, who is expected to speak on the importance of generosity, compassion, and community support as essential virtues during Ramadan and beyond.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is billed to attend the programme as the Special Guest of Honour, while several religious leaders and community stakeholders are also expected to grace the occasion.

The programme will also feature spiritual renditions and performances by notable Islamic musicians including Alhaji Saoty Arewa, Rodiat Arike Omo Sheu, and Alhaja Kiyafat Singer, who are expected to entertain guests with inspirational Islamic songs.
According to the organisers, the annual Ramadan Lecture, organised under Ajadi’s Omituntun 3.0 platform, is aimed at encouraging moral leadership, peaceful coexistence, and support for the less privileged in line with the teachings of Islam.
The event is also expected to provide an avenue for prayers for Oyo State and Nigeria, particularly at a time when many citizens are calling for responsible leadership and economic relief.
Members of the public have been invited to attend the lecture, which is open to people of all faiths, as part of efforts to promote interfaith harmony and shared values of humanity.

Ajadi has consistently used the Ramadan period to emphasise the importance of God-fearing leadership, trust (Amanah), and Taqwa (piety), values he believes are necessary for good governance and national development.
The lecture is expected to commence in the afternoon with Qur’anic recitations, prayers, and goodwill messages from dignitaries.
