Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has announced Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors, the highly anticipated sequel to his 2023 Yoruba epic film, days after unveiling Euphoria360 Hub, a modern film and media production facility in Lagos, in a development highlighting his expanding influence in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Adebayo announced that the sequel would premiere exclusively on Netflix on December 4, 2026, sharing a teaser that offers a glimpse into the return of the warrior world that captivated audiences in the original production. The announcement has renewed interest in the film franchise and placed the filmmaker at the centre of two major entertainment developments within a short period.

The title, Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors, points to another chapter in the epic’s world of power struggles, warfare and the consequences of ambition. In his announcement, Adebayo wrote: “Even in his absence, his name remained a curse whispered behind closed doors. Some men are made by war. Others are the reason kingdoms learn to fear it.” The statement has heightened anticipation among fans eager to discover how the story will develop, although further plot details remain limited.

Released in 2023, the original Jagun Jagun followed Gbotija, a young man who joined the army of Ogundiji, a feared warlord, while seeking revenge for his father’s death. His arrival disrupted the established order and triggered a conflict involving loyalty, betrayal, ambition and the struggle for power. The film featured Adebayo alongside notable actors, including Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Yekini, Bukunmi Oluwasina and Adebayo Salami. Its historical setting, battle sequences, costumes and Yoruba cultural elements helped establish it as a notable production in Nigeria’s contemporary epic-film tradition.

The sequel announcement comes less than a week after Adebayo officially unveiled Euphoria360 Hub in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, on October 6, 2026. The facility, which serves as the headquarters of his Euphoria360 Media Limited, was commissioned by Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, at a ceremony attended by actors, filmmakers, content creators and other entertainment industry stakeholders. The development marks a significant expansion of Adebayo’s activities beyond acting and film production into creative infrastructure and services.

Euphoria360 Hub is designed to accommodate several aspects of entertainment production under one roof, including cinema-grade filming, photography, music production, podcasting, video editing, sound engineering, colour grading and visual effects. Its facilities include production studios, cinema rooms, conference spaces, editing suites, sound facilities and areas for training and professional collaboration. The hub had also hosted the production of Davido’s “B4 B4” music video, featuring Mayorkun and FOLA, before its official commissioning.

Beyond providing production facilities, the hub is expected to support emerging talent through the Euphoria360 Film Academy. Adebayo has announced plans to train 250 young people in Lagos in filmmaking and related creative disciplines, with the initiative expected to provide practical skills, workshops, mentorship and opportunities for professional development. The programme could help address the need for accessible training and technical expertise in an industry where the quality of production and the availability of skilled personnel are important to the success of film projects.

The Merit Newspaper reports that the developments also raise broader questions about the future of Nollywood, particularly the relationship between storytelling, production infrastructure and international distribution. While Jagun Jagun 2 is expected to bring another Yoruba-inspired epic to Netflix’s global audience, Euphoria360 Hub provides a facility intended to support filmmakers and other creatives working across different stages of production. Together, the two developments illustrate different aspects of Adebayo’s work: creating films for audiences and investing in facilities that can serve the wider entertainment community.

As December 4 approaches, attention will turn to whether Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors can build on the reputation of its predecessor and deliver another compelling story rooted in Yoruba history, culture and imagination. For Adebayo, the sequel announcement and the launch of Euphoria360 Hub represent two significant milestones in a career spanning acting, filmmaking and entrepreneurship, while adding to the continuing conversation about the growth, sustainability and international reach of Nigeria’s creative industry.
