Femi Adebayo and Hakeem Effects

Renowned Nollywood special effects artist, Hakeem Onilogbo Ajibola, popularly known as Hakeem Effects, has described the upcoming film Seven Doors by acclaimed producer Femi Adebayo as “out of this world.” In a trending social media video, particularly on Facebook, Hakeem praised the film’s groundbreaking visual and special effects, calling it his greatest work yet.

“Because I have done great jobs and great projects, but Seven Doors is the greatest. The kind of visual and special effects in the project is neck-breaking,” he said.

Hakeem Effects, the founder and CEO of Tricks International, has carved a niche in Nollywood as a makeup artist specializing in special effects, prosthetics, eyebrows, and eyelashes. He is renowned for his work on blockbuster films such as King of Boys, Omo Ghetto, and Jagun Jagun: The Saga, as well as numerous music videos. His exceptional contributions to the film industry have earned him several awards, including the “Best Makeup” award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2017 for Oloibiri and the title of Africa’s Best Makeup Artist at the 2016 and 2017 Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Hakeem’s expertise once again shone brightly at the recently concluded 16th edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) in Ilorin, Kwara State. Femi Adebayo’s Netflix original epic, Jagun Jagun, emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night, clinching six awards, including Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor for Femi Adebayo, Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and Director of the Year, shared by Bayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo.

Speaking about the much-anticipated Seven Doors, Femi Adebayo expressed his excitement: “When Hakeem Effects calls a project ‘neck-breaking,’ you know something extraordinary is coming. The scale of Seven Doors is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. This isn’t just a film; we made a whole new world. From breathtaking visuals to immersive scenes, the magic and effects used in this production will leave you speechless.”

Seven Doors is set to premiere on December 13, exclusively on Netflix, promising an unprecedented cinematic experience for viewers.
