Hon. Kilamuwaye Oladayo Badmus, the Southwest Public Relations Officer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Financial Director of Bullion Records, has congratulated the newly elected officers of the KUTITES 1996-2002 set. The announcement was made during the 22nd Reunion Funfair, held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at ANAN House, Leme, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The reunion, themed “Memory Rekindle,” was both a nostalgic and transformative moment as the group embraced new leadership to advance its mission of unity and community impact. The newly elected officers are:

1. Kareem Ganiy Ajibola – President

2. Mary Awoga Olajide – Vice President

3. Faleti Adewale Abiola – General Secretary

4. Saka Olalekan Samuel – Financial Secretary

5. Ogundipe Adeyemi Samuel – Treasurer

6. Ayinde Olawale – Public Relations Officer

7. Tolulope Odesola – Welfare Officer 1

8. Shobowale Gbenga Peter – Welfare Officer 2

9. Sholanke Oluwabukola Vidal – Social Director

10. Olurin Oluwaseun F. – Ex-Officio 1

11. Olaleye Atikuke Shakirat – Ex-Officio 2

12. Soetan Hamed – Ex-Officio 3

Hon. Badmus, an active member of the 1996-2002 set, praised the election process and commended the dedication of the new officers. “I am thrilled to congratulate the newly elected team of our beloved KUTITES 96-02 set. Each of them brings unique skills and a dedication that I am confident will drive us forward as a stronger and more impactful association,” he said.

Reflecting on the group’s shared legacy, Hon. Badmus added, “This reunion and the election of new officers are significant milestones in our collective journey. Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School shaped us into who we are today, and it is our responsibility to give back to the school and our community in meaningful ways.”

The reunion served as a platform for deliberating how the alumni can contribute to their alma mater’s development. Hon. Badmus emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “The new officers have a great task ahead of them. Beyond sustaining our annual reunion, they must lead efforts to support the school, whether through infrastructure development, mentoring programs, or scholarship opportunities for students.”

President-elect Kareem Ganiy Ajibola expressed gratitude on behalf of the new officers, promising to prioritize unity among members and initiatives that positively impact the school and the wider community. “We are committed to building on the solid foundation laid by previous administrations and ensuring that our set remains a beacon of excellence,” Ajibola said.

The reunion also featured a special session to honor the outgoing officers for their dedication. Members reminisced about their school days, sharing laughter and camaraderie while recommitting to the values instilled in them by Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School.

The event was a success, with alumni reaffirming their dedication to supporting one another and upholding the legacy of Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School. With the new officers at the helm, the KUTITES 96-02 set is poised to make meaningful contributions to their alma mater and society at large.
