A keen observation by one of Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma’s ardent fans, Mr. Afolabi Baba Nla Hsa (ahjy), has sparked an unexpected research challenge among the Fuji maestro’s followers. The intrigue began when Afolabi commented on a viral video of Pasuma, popularly known as Oganla Fuji, posted on Facebook by another dedicated fan, Mr. Sanni Ismail Adeyemi.

The video, capturing Pasuma’s performance on January 2, 2025, at the Temple Base Day celebration in Owode Yewa, Ogun State, showed the Fuji icon wearing an iron wristwatch. In his comment, Afolabi noted that this was the first time in his life he had seen Oganla don an iron wristwatch, as the star has long been associated with wearing leather wristwatches.

“I’ve never seen Oganla use an iron wristwatch before; he’s always preferred leather wristwatches,” Afolabi wrote, igniting discussions among fans of Pasuma and other Fuji artists.

This seemingly trivial observation has since turned into an exciting challenge, with fans now poring over old photos and videos of Pasuma from past decades to verify the accuracy of Afolabi’s claim. Some have expressed amazement at the level of attention Afolabi pays to Pasuma’s lifestyle, praising his dedication as a superfan.

Social media has been buzzing with comments and reactions. One fan remarked, “This is the kind of fan engagement that makes following Oganla even more interesting.” Another added, “We need to confirm this observation—it’s an entertaining challenge for all of us.”

The post that triggered the challenge was shared by Mr. Sanni Ismail Adeyemi, who captioned the video, “Temple Base Day with Oganla Fuji in Owode Yewa,” celebrating Pasuma’s energetic performance at the event.

As fans continue to dig into the archives, the wristwatch challenge has become a fun and engaging activity within the Fuji music community, further highlighting the special bond between Pasuma and his admirers. Whether Afolabi’s observation stands the test of scrutiny remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Oganla Fuji’s fans have once again shown their unyielding love and devotion to their idol.

The Fuji music world eagerly awaits the outcome of this unique challenge.
