Popular Nigerian singer Naira Marley has stirred conversations with his latest tweet emphasizing Allah’s mercy and the simplicity of worship in Islam. In his post on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, he wrote:

“If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk was given to him by Allah.”

The statement, which aligns with Islamic teachings on fasting, highlights the belief that Allah is merciful and does not impose hardship on His followers. Many fans interpreted the tweet as a subtle message against extremism, emphasizing that Islam promotes ease and compassion in worship.

This is not the first time the controversial singer has spoken about his faith. In the past, he publicly distanced himself from extremist ideologies, stating, “I am a Muslim, but ISIS does not represent me or my religion.”

The tweet also comes shortly after a Lagos Magistrate Court cleared Naira Marley, along with Sam Larry and Primeboy, of any involvement in the death of former signee Mohbad. Some observers believe the singer is using the moment to realign his public image, reminding fans of his personal beliefs amid past controversies.

While some social media users praised him for preaching the merciful nature of Allah, others questioned his sudden inclination towards religious discussions. However, the core message remains clear—true worship in Islam is about sincerity, peace, and mercy, not extremism.

With this latest statement, Naira Marley has once again proven his ability to spark conversations beyond music, leaving fans divided on his intentions but engaged in a deeper discussion about faith and spirituality.
