Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, is dead.

The elder statesman and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the age of 78.

A statement issued by the Ogbeh family on Saturday described him as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, noting that he “departed peacefully.”

Chief Ogbeh, a seasoned politician and farmer, served Nigeria in various capacities, including as Minister of Agriculture between 2015 and 2019, where he championed agricultural reforms and rural development projects.
