Ibadan, Nigeria – May 14, 2025 – The ancient city of Ibadan witnessed an electrifying wave of music, energy, and celebration on Tuesday night, May 13, as the Oyo State Chapter of the Disc Jockeys Association of Nigeria (DJAN) hosted the much-anticipated Mega Jamz 2025 at the popular Exellesor Lounge, near BCOS, Bashorun.

The event, which ran from 7 PM till dawn, brought together some of Nigeria’s most celebrated DJs, rising stars, and music enthusiasts for a night of top-tier entertainment. Among the standout performers of the night was Abdul Rahman Yusuf, popularly known as Harcher, a rising star from Bullion Records, whose performance turned the evening into an unforgettable experience.

From the moment Harcher stepped on stage, the atmosphere erupted with excitement. Backed by thumping beats and a crowd already warmed up by a string of thrilling DJ sets, Harcher’s high-energy performance had fans singing, dancing, and cheering from start to finish.

Speaking to journalists after his performance, Harcher described the experience as “a dream come true.”

“It is a big dream come true to have myself performing in the biggest city in Nigeria,” he said. “It’s a huge event organized by the DJs Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, and I wish the association more progress. They are part of the real promoters of good music across the country.”

Founded as a non-governmental and professional organization, DJAN has become a pillar in Nigeria’s entertainment space, fostering unity, education, and opportunity for disc jockeys. The Oyo State chapter’s commitment to showcasing musical talent and celebrating DJ culture was on full display at the Mega Jamz 2025 event.

Harcher emphasized the indispensable role DJs play in the music ecosystem.

“DJs are one of the major forces that make music known and felt in society,” he said. “Their roles in music promotion cannot be quantified. I truly commend the Oyo State chapter for organizing such a powerful event.”

He also expressed hope to return for future editions of the show.

“I wish every member of the organization—be it woman or man—a successful career. I definitely look forward to being part of this great show again next year.”

As the Nigerian entertainment scene continues to evolve, events like DJAN Mega Jamz are reinforcing the critical synergy between DJs, artists, and fans—bringing not just music, but a powerful cultural celebration to the forefront.
