Habib Okikiola Omolalomi Portable

By Ibrahim Kegbegbe

Abeokuta, February 19, 2025 – Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has reported to the Ogun State Police Command following his recent declaration as a wanted person.

Portable arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Eleweran, Abeokuta, at exactly 1:23 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. His presence at the facility was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, who noted that the singer is currently assisting with an ongoing investigation.

The case involves an incident that occurred on February 5, 2025, during an enforcement exercise by the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ota. Portable allegedly led a violent attack against government officials carrying out their duties. While nine of his associates were arrested and charged, the singer had previously ignored multiple police invitations before turning himself in.

Prior to his surrender in Ogun State, Portable first presented himself to the Lagos State Police Command before being transferred to Abeokuta for further questioning.

The Ogun State Police Command has assured the public that due process will be followed in handling the matter. Further updates on the investigation will be provided as events unfold.
