Hon. Akingbala Semiu, a royal and political stalwart from Ifo/Ewekoro Local Government Area, Ogun State, has congratulated Hon. Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye on her emergence as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
In a goodwill message made available to journalists on Saturday, Hon. Semiu described Adeleye’s emergence as a significant milestone in the political landscape of the constituency, noting that it reflects broad acceptance and growing confidence in her leadership capacity.
He said her emergence as consensus candidate is a development that should be welcomed by all stakeholders, adding that it presents an opportunity for unity, progress, and effective representation of the people at the national level.

“I sincerely congratulate Hon. Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye on her emergence as the consensus candidate of the APC for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency,” Hon. Semiu stated. “This is a well-deserved development considering her consistent involvement in grassroots politics and her commitment to public service.”
He further described Adeleye as a politician whose rising profile within the constituency has been shaped by her engagement with community stakeholders, women groups, and youth structures over the years.
According to him, the consensus arrangement should be seen as a call to greater responsibility, urging the candidate to remain focused and committed to the expectations of the people.

The Merit Newspaper reports that Hon. Semiu also appealed to political stakeholders and party members within Ifo/Ewekoro to rally support behind Adeleye, stressing the importance of unity in strengthening democratic participation and ensuring electoral success.
He noted that the constituency requires leadership that is accessible, responsive, and development-driven, expressing confidence that Adeleye’s candidacy presents an opportunity for renewed focus on the needs of the people.
