Governor tasks newly appointed leaders to build an all-inclusive campaign structure ahead of Oyo governorship and presidential campaigns.

Governor Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) Apex Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, charging members of the newly constituted leadership team to establish an all-inclusive campaign structure capable of delivering victory for the party.
The governor announced the inauguration on Friday through his official social media page, describing the apex council as the foundation of the party’s campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 presidential and governorship elections.
According to Makinde, the apex campaign council will work closely with party leaders and key stakeholders across the state to nominate and constitute other members of the campaign council.

“We inaugurated the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) apex campaign council for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State,” the governor said.
“This team will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to choose other members of the campaign council.”
The governor stressed the importance of unity within the party, urging the leadership to ensure that the campaign council reflects every interest group and political bloc across the state.
“In my remarks, I charged this apex leadership to have an all-inclusive campaign council that can work together for a successful campaign,” Makinde stated.
The apex campaign council is headed by Dr. Nureni Adeniran, who will serve as Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.

Other members include Hon. Saheed Arowosaye (AROSAD) as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign; Chief Ademola Ojo as Deputy Director-General for Oyo South Senatorial District; Dr. Femi Ojo as Deputy Director-General for Oyo Central Senatorial District; and Alhaji Siju Lawal as Deputy Director-General for Oyo North Senatorial District.
The council also includes Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director of the Women’s Wing and Kazeem Bolarinwa as Director of the Youth Wing.
Political observers believe the inauguration of the apex campaign council marks the beginning of the APM’s preparations for the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, with the party expected to expand its campaign structure in the coming months through consultations with stakeholders across the state.
The development signals an early move by the party to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and organisational capacity as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum.
