Nigerians, especially Christians, are eagerly anticipating a historic celebration as Mount Zion Faith Ministries International approaches its 40th year of gospel drama excellence. Founded on August 5, 1985, by Mike and Gloria Bamiloye, the ministry has become a pioneer in faith-based entertainment, inspiring and ministering to millions across Nigeria and beyond.

Through timeless productions like Agbara Nla, The Haunting Shadows, The Train, and Enoch, Mount Zion Faith Ministries has touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of Christian entertainment. Their dedication to spreading the gospel through drama has also nurtured a new generation of faith-driven filmmakers and actors.

The milestone anniversary, set for August 5, 2025, has sparked widespread excitement. A randomly conducted survey by The Merit Newspaper revealed that Nigerians are eagerly anticipating the event, with many expressing their desire to witness a grand celebration that reflects the ministry’s immense contributions to society.

“Mount Zion has played an invaluable role in the spiritual lives of many Nigerians,” said Blessing Aribidesi, a member of a Lagos-based Christian fellowship. “A 40th-anniversary celebration would not only be a chance to honor their contributions but also to reflect on the lives that have been transformed through their works.”

The excitement is not limited to the Christian community. Non-Christians have also expressed admiration for the ministry’s achievements. “You don’t have to be a Christian to appreciate what Mount Zion has done,” said Kayode Imran, a media enthusiast in Oyo. “Their commitment to storytelling and moral values is unmatched. They deserve a celebration for 40 years of consistency and excellence.”

Responses from The Merit Newspaper’s survey also revealed that many Nigerians are drawing comparisons to the recently celebrated 40th stage anniversary of Fuji music legend Wasiu Alabi Pasuma. While Pasuma’s milestone drew nationwide attention and accolades, many believe Mount Zion’s achievements deserve an equally grand recognition. “We all came together to honor Pasuma’s contributions to music,” said Nkechi Okpara, a gospel music promoter. “Now it’s time to do the same for Mount Zion. They’ve been a beacon of light for the past four decades.”

As anticipation builds, some have urged Mike and Gloria Bamiloye to ensure the occasion is marked with grandeur. “Even if they haven’t planned anything yet, it’s not too late to put together something extraordinary,” suggested Olamide Adedeji, a drama coordinator in a local church. “This anniversary is not just for them—it’s for everyone who has been impacted by their work.”

The survey responses highlighted the deep appreciation Nigerians have for Mount Zion’s impact, with many expressing gratitude for the ministry’s commitment to faith-based storytelling and its ability to address real-life issues through drama. The anticipated celebration is expected to feature tributes, testimonies, and performances, showcasing the ministry’s remarkable journey over the years.

For many, this event is not just about honoring Mount Zion but also about championing gospel entertainment as an integral part of Nigeria’s cultural heritage. As the countdown to August 5, 2025, begins, the excitement continues to grow, with Nigerians united in their desire to celebrate Mount Zion’s 40 years of extraordinary service and transformational impact.
