In a surprise twist following his recent victory in the much-talked-about celebrity boxing match, Nigerian street-hop star Habib Okikiola Omolalomi, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that Grammy-winning superstar Burna Boy gifted him a whopping N20 million in appreciation of his performance.

Portable, who defeated Speed Darlington in the first round of the celebrity boxing face-off, went live on his social media platform in the early hours of Sunday, April 20, 2025, to share the news with fans and followers.

“I really appreciate Burna Boy. He sent me N20 million after I beat Speed Darlington. That money enter well. Odogwu no dey carry last!” Portable declared with his signature excitement and flair.

While expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Portable also made a passionate plea for a music collaboration with Burna Boy. “If Odogwu fit bless me with a verse, e go sweet pass this 20 million,” he added, stressing how much he values the recognition and potential support from a global music icon like Burna.

The boxing match, which has generated a flurry of reactions online, had many fans praising Portable’s unexpected show of strength and showmanship in the ring. But the highlight of his celebration now seems to be the generous gift from Burna Boy, who is known not just for his musical prowess, but also for uplifting street artists.

Reactions have poured in across social media platforms, with fans calling on Burna Boy to heed Portable’s request and consider jumping on a track with the Zazuu crooner — a move that could set the streets and charts on fire.

Whether or not Burna Boy grants the feature remains to be seen, but for now, Portable is riding high on his boxing victory, the cash windfall, and the growing support of industry giants.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story in the ever-dynamic world of Nigerian entertainment.
