Abuja — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria today, Monday, April 21, after a two-week working visit to Europe, according to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.

The presidential aide confirmed that the President, who has been away on official engagements across several European countries, will arrive in Abuja later today. He emphasized that President Tinubu remained actively involved in the governance of the country during his time abroad, maintaining regular communication with key government officials and overseeing critical national matters.

“President Tinubu has been working remotely and coordinating with ministers and aides on major national issues. His return today is timely and significant as the administration continues to pursue key reforms and developmental goals,” Onanuga stated.

The President’s trip, which began shortly after the Easter holidays, was described as a strategic mission to deepen diplomatic and economic ties with European partners.

Tinubu’s return is expected to rejuvenate several high-level discussions currently underway within the Presidency, particularly around the ongoing economic reforms and fuel subsidy transition plans that have sparked national conversations.

Details of his engagements while abroad are expected to be shared in a formal briefing upon his return.
