Lagos, Nigeria – The wedding ceremony of Adebimpe Abigail Ojo and Israel Adeola Alabi drew dignitaries and well-wishers to La’occassionz Event Place, Abule-Egba, Lagos State, on August 29 and 30, 2025. The two-day celebration began with a colourful traditional wedding. It climaxed with a white wedding, where Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Southwest Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and CEO of Bullion Records, served as chairman of the occasion.

Delivering his marital advice to the newlyweds, Ambassador Ajadi said he was grateful to God for witnessing the union and emphasised that love must be the foundation of every marriage.

“Love is an affection that comes after the two couples truly understand each other,” he told the audience. “The husband must love his wife because love teaches responsibility, love makes prayer a part of the home, and love helps couples forgive and care for each other.”

Ajadi elaborated that love not only inspires forgiveness but also teaches respect and tolerance within the home.

“A home without prayer is not a godly home,” he cautioned. “Love leads to prayer, forgiveness, care, and accommodation. It makes each partner respect the other, and when there is respect at home, outsiders will also respect the marriage.”

The NNPP stalwart, known for his philanthropic and political engagements, also gave practical advice, urging the bride to look after her husband’s well-being.

“The wife should feed her husband very well because food is essential. Beyond that, both should be cheerful with one another and satisfy each other sexually. Love makes this possible,” Ajadi said.

Beyond love, he shared six other principles which, according to him, sustain a successful marriage:

1. Commitment – “Both couples must commit to each other’s growth and development,” he said.

2. Submissiveness – “The wife should be submissive to her husband, but both should learn to yield for peace to reign.”

3. Discipline – “A home without discipline will struggle to stand. Couples must set boundaries and uphold values.”

4. Satisfaction – “Couples should satisfy one another morally, financially, and sexually to avoid temptation.”

5. Understanding – “Understanding helps resolve conflicts before they escalate. Both must learn to walk in each other’s shoes.”

6. Encouragement – “Spouses should encourage one another instead of seeking it from outsiders.”

Ajadi urged the couple to build their home on mutual respect, constant prayers, and resilience against third-party interference.

The occasion also witnessed the presence of prominent NNPP leaders and supporters who accompanied Ajadi. Among them were Chief Ademola Otolowo, UK-based music promotion executive and CEO of 100% Entertainment; Hon. Kilamuwaye Badmus, NNPP Southwest PRO; Hon. Adenaya Fatai (Modawoni), Ogun State assistant financial secretary; and Hon. Abiola Sanusi, Ogun State auditor.

Also present were Hon. Akingbala Semiu, Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman; Hon. Kehinde Teluwo, 2023 Ogun Central senatorial candidate; Hon. Mrs. Bagbansoro Precious, Ogun State woman leader; Comrade Olaoluwa Akinsola Akinwande, Ogun Central senatorial youth leader; Hon. Mrs. Akinwunmi Bolupe, woman leader, NNPP Abeokuta South; alongside Mr. Awoeyo Olugbenga and Mr. Jamiu Muibi.
