The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, Barrister Femi Aina, has called on party members across the state to deploy their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as tools for meaningful political change in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Barrister Aina made the call on Thursday, November 13, 2025, during a strategic meeting with party executives, ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and grassroots mobilisers at Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State. The meeting, earlier announced in an official notice, was held behind the Primary Health Centre in Kessi, Abeokuta.

Addressing the gathering, Barrister Aina stressed the need for NNPP members to remain focused, peaceful, and determined as they prepare for the next electoral cycle. According to him, the future of Nigeria depends heavily on the collective resolve of citizens to vote out underperforming leadership.

“Our PVCs remain the strongest weapon for positive change,” he said. “We must reject violence, defend our votes, and show Nigeria that NNPP is ready to offer a credible alternative. The APC has failed to meet Nigerians’ expectations, and it is time for us to step forward with courage. If we truly want this country to move forward, then we must be the instruments of that change.”

Barrister Aina urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure that every NNPP supporter across Ogun State is prepared for the 2027 elections, adding, “No vote must be wasted.”

In his remarks, the Chairman of NNPP in Abeokuta South Local Government, Alhaji Musibau Adekunle, reaffirmed the readiness of local party structures to work tirelessly toward electoral victory.

“We are fully committed to the NNPP,” he declared. “We are not resigning, we are not decamping, and we are not going anywhere. Our team is strong, motivated, and ready to deliver Abeokuta South for NNPP in 2027.”

Alhaji Adekunle assured the state leadership that the local executives and ward chairmen are already engaging community members to widen the party’s influence at the grassroots level.

Thursday’s meeting, which drew members from all units in the local government, also served as an avenue to strengthen internal organisation and renew confidence in the party’s mission to provide Nigerians with a fresh and progressive political direction.
