The Senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, on Sunday joined thousands of Christian faithful, clerics, gospel musicians and dignitaries at the third remembrance service of the late renowned Christ Apostolic Church prophet, Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, popularly known as Baba Automatic.

The solemn but inspiring event was held at the auditorium of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke Agbara, Ashi, Bodija, Ibadan, where worshippers gathered to celebrate the remarkable life, ministry and enduring legacy of one of Nigeria’s most revered Pentecostal prophets.

The annual remembrance attracted eminent ministers of the gospel, traditional leaders, political figures and believers from different parts of Nigeria, all united by the desire to honour a man whose ministry transformed countless lives through evangelism, prayers, healing and prophetic messages.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the programme, Ambassador Ajadi described the late cleric as “a spiritual general whose impact will continue to resonate across generations.”

According to him, “Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere lived a life of total dedication to God and humanity. His ministry was never about personal enrichment; it was about winning souls, giving hope to the hopeless and bringing people closer to God.”

Ajadi said the late prophet’s teachings on holiness, humility, prayer and perseverance remain relevant in addressing the moral and social challenges confronting Nigeria.

“Our nation needs more people with the character, integrity and compassion that Baba Automatic demonstrated throughout his lifetime. He taught us that true leadership is service, sacrifice and genuine love for humanity,” he said.

The APM senatorial candidate urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to emulate the virtues of hard work, honesty and unwavering faith exemplified by the late prophet.

“Regardless of our religious or political differences, we must learn to live together in peace and continue to pray for the progress of our country. The life of Baba Automatic reminds us that no position or wealth is greater than living a life that positively impacts others,” Ajadi added.

He prayed for the continued growth of the Christ Apostolic Church and asked God to raise more faithful ministers who would sustain the spiritual heritage left behind by the late prophet.

Born on September 9, Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere was widely acknowledged as one of the most respected ministers within the Christ Apostolic Church. Fondly called Baba Automatic by his admirers, he began planting churches under the CAC mission at CAC Oke-Imole, Agbowo, in 1978, establishing congregations that spread across different parts of Nigeria and beyond.

Renowned as a powerful preacher, teacher and gospel evangelist, Prophet Olowere became famous for his prophetic ministry, signs and wonders, as well as his unwavering commitment to evangelism.

Throughout his lifetime, the late cleric’s annual prayer programmes attracted over 35,000 worshippers, making them among the largest Christian gatherings within the Pentecostal community. His messages consistently focused on repentance, righteousness, unwavering faith and total dependence on God.

Among the prominent ministers who officiated at this year’s remembrance service were Prophet Ladi Olarenwaju and Prophet David Oladejo, popularly known as Baba White, who served closely alongside the late prophet during his earthly ministry.

The Merit Newspaper acknowledges that the event also featured uplifting musical ministrations by legendary gospel singer Mama Bola Are and renowned gospel music minister Yinka Alaseyori.

Yinka Alaseyori, celebrated for inspirational songs including Arojinle, Aye Ope Yo and the widely acclaimed Oniduro Mi, thrilled the congregation with an energetic session of praise and worship that electrified the atmosphere and drew heartfelt expressions of thanksgiving from worshippers.

Many attendees described the remembrance service as a celebration of a life devoted entirely to God’s work, expressing confidence that Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere’s teachings, prayers and spiritual legacy would continue to inspire generations of Christians within and outside Nigeria.
