The Commerce and Industry Correspondent Association of Nigeria (CICAN) has awarded the CEO of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, for the company’s flagship beverage, Coco Samba. The product was named “Product of the Year” at a prestigious ceremony held on November 21, 2024, at Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall, Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Themed “Navigating Fiscal and Monetary Policy Challenges as Threats to $1 Trillion GDP Target by 2030”, the event featured a keynote lecture by Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, the Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). Ajayi-Kadir addressed the need for innovative strategies to tackle Nigeria’s economic challenges, emphasizing the role of industry leaders in achieving growth.

Acknowledging Excellence in Innovation

Presenting the award, CICAN National Chairman, Mr. Charles Okonji, lauded Coco Samba as a beverage that stands out among its competitors in Nigeria and international markets. “Coco Samba is a fascinating blend of exotic flavors that has garnered widespread acceptance among consumers and marketers. Our research and field interviews highlighted its exceptional quality,” Okonji stated.

He further credited the product’s success to rigorous testing and certification by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). “NAFDAC’s positive feedback following comprehensive laboratory tests reinforced Coco Samba’s position as a trusted and safe choice for consumers,” he added.

Commitment to Quality

Speaking on behalf of Ambassador Ajadi, Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited’s Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Bukola Adegboyega Matthew, expressed gratitude for the recognition. “We are honored by this award and the acknowledgment of Coco Samba’s impact in the market. This recognition inspires us to maintain the highest production standards and continue delivering quality beverages that resonate with our consumers,” she said.

Mrs. Matthew emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and consumer satisfaction. “Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited is dedicated to exceeding expectations. We aim to remain a leader in the beverage industry, setting benchmarks for quality and customer loyalty,” she assured.

Other representatives from the company included Mr. Ayoola Olakunle T. and Miss Anuoluwapo Sanni, who joined Mrs. Matthew in receiving the award.

Recognizing Industry Champions

The event also celebrated other notable awardees. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was recognized as the “Best Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) & Infrastructure Governor in Nigeria for the Year 2024,” while Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, received the “Overall Best State Governor in Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria for the Year 2024.”

CICAN’s annual awards are a testament to its dedication to promoting excellence across industries. With Coco Samba earning the spotlight this year, Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited solidifies its reputation as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s beverage market.
