Los Angeles, January 10, 2025 — The death toll from the raging wildfires in Los Angeles has risen to 10, with efforts to contain the inferno intensifying as strong winds continue to fuel its spread.

In an interview with CNN this morning, Chad Hanson, a forest and fire ecologist with the John Muir Project, described the devastating impact, noting that entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble. He emphasized that the fires remain mostly uncontained, posing a significant threat to surrounding communities.

Authorities are working around the clock to combat the blaze, but the strengthening winds have complicated containment efforts, raising concerns about further destruction.
