The United States has accused Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing acts of genocide during the ongoing civil war in the country. U.S. officials claim that the RSF has engaged in systematic killings of males and widespread sexual violence against females.

Speaking during CNN’s early morning program on Friday, January 10, 2025, Kholood Khair, a researcher and political analyst, described the atrocities as a deliberate campaign of murder and rape. She called for urgent international intervention and urged the U.S. government to mediate the conflict without bias or favoritism towards any faction involved in the war.

The conflict between the RSF and Sudan’s armed forces continues to devastate the nation, drawing widespread condemnation from global leaders and human rights organizations.
