
Abuja, Nigeria — June 27, 2025 —
Following the official resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party has appointed Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Abubakar Dalori, as the Acting National Chairman.
Ganduje tendered his resignation on health grounds during a closed-door meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. His exit comes amid internal party restructuring and growing calls for leadership repositioning.

In the interim, Hon. Dalori will steer the affairs of the ruling party until a substantive national chairman is elected at the APC’s national convention scheduled for December 2025.
