Surulere Decides: BARAKAT’s Takes The Lead

As Surulere decides, it is no longer a news that Hon. Barakat Odunuga is the choice of every residents in Surulere and the significant of this pointed towards one direction—fresh ideas, that Surulere women have been cheated for too long and to right this wrong, the good people of Surulere have comes out in one voice to say “Enough is Enough” that the interest of Surulere Constituents really matters and that depend largely on the choices its people make. It’s must be said that development today demands more than political titles. It requires a representative who can influence policy, attract State opportunities, build strategic relationships, and remain accountable to the people who gave them the mandate.

For many political observers, the coming days of State Assembly primary election present an opportunity for us in Surulere to rethink its representation and strengthen its voice at the State level, whilst Hon. Barakat’s name continues to resonate in the lips of all Surulerians as the emerging choice for the Lagos State Assembly which has become a major conversation in the mouth of the leadership of the party and everyone in Surulere. Supporters and party loyalists sees her as a bridge between experience and the expectations of a new political era. Surulerians believe her understanding of grassroots politics, combined with her commitment to development positions her as a potential voice capable of advancing the interests of Surulerians at the State Assembly.

Yes, every political journey begins with a conversation. And across Surulere today, that conversation is now repeatedly growing around Ejide—
