Lagos, April 23, 2025 – A frontline aspirant for the Chairmanship position of Eti-Osa Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adisa Akinsimoyin Babatunde, has officially declared his intention to contest in the forthcoming local government elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC) by obtaining his nomination form at the party’s State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja.
Hon. Babatunde, fondly called WAAB by his teeming supporters, was warmly received by party officials as he completed the formal process on Wednesday. Speaking shortly after receiving the form, he reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of Eti-Osa with humility, accountability, and vision-driven leadership.
“I am ready to offer selfless service that will uplift every ward in Eti-Osa. My focus is on development, unity, and inclusive governance,” WAAB stated.
Since the announcement, social media platforms have been flooded with congratulatory messages from supporters, residents, and political associates who expressed confidence in his leadership capacity.
With grassroots support and political goodwill on his side, Hon. Babatunde is considered a major contender in the party’s forthcoming primary election scheduled to hold in the coming weeks.
Political analysts believe the race for Eti-Osa’s top seat is gaining momentum, with WAAB positioning himself as a candidate with both experience and empathy, qualities many voters say the local government needs now more than ever.
