A fresh chapter of reconciliation has begun between the camps of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, and Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, also known as Sego, following a peace meeting facilitated by Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1.
The reconciliation took place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, bringing together the two sides in an effort to put their differences behind them and promote peace and unity among their supporters.
The development is significant because disagreements between supporters associated with the two men have, at different times, generated tension within the wider Lagos transport-union environment.
MC Oluomo is a prominent figure in Nigeria’s transport-union politics and currently serves as National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), while Sego has also been a notable figure within the Lagos transport-union structure.
Their respective camps have been associated with disagreements over the years, with some of the disputes occasionally spilling into public spaces and generating concerns among stakeholders about the need for reconciliation.

KWAM 1, who maintains relationships with personalities across different sections of Lagos society, has previously used his influence to appeal for peace between the two sides.
The Fuji star’s intervention has now culminated in the latest reconciliation meeting, with the two camps coming together on Tuesday in what represents a renewed effort to end their differences.
The Merit Newspaper reports that reconciliation is expected to have implications beyond the immediate relationship between the two men, particularly among their followers and associates who have been affected by disagreements between the rival camps.
The latest development also provides an opportunity for the parties to move away from past disagreements and focus on peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and unity.
For many observers familiar with the history between the two camps, the significance of Tuesday’s meeting will ultimately depend on whether the understanding reached between the parties is sustained and reflected among their respective supporters.
