Juma Jux with his wife, Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo

By Ibrahim Kegbegbe

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – July 13, 2025
Popular Tanzanian music sensation, Juma Jux, has confirmed that his wife, Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, has converted to Islam.

In an emotional revelation, Jux — whose real name is Juma Mussa Mkambala — shared the deeply personal journey of guiding his wife into the Islamic faith. According to the R&B star, it was not an easy task, as Priscilla was raised a devout Christian. However, with patience, compassion, and the guidance of respected Islamic scholars, he was able to introduce her to the tenets and spiritual beauty of Islam.

“The elders advised me to speak to her gently and with wisdom, showing her the sweetness of Islam,” Jux said. “Today, I’m grateful to Allah that my wife is now a true Muslim.”

Priscilla Ojo, a Nigerian social media influencer, model, and entrepreneur, is the daughter of Nollywood actress and reality TV star Iyabo Ojo. She gained public attention in Nigeria not only due to her famous mother but also through her work in fashion and lifestyle branding.

The couple made headlines earlier this year when their relationship became public, drawing attention from fans in both East and West Africa. Their cross-cultural union — bridging Nigerian and Tanzanian entertainment spheres — has sparked widespread interest, with many praising their openness and mutual respect for each other’s backgrounds.

Jux, known for his smooth vocals and hits like Sugua and Enjoy, is one of East Africa’s leading musical exports. His relationship with Priscilla has continued to attract fans on social media, where they often share glimpses into their private lives.

Neither Priscilla nor Iyabo Ojo has made an official statement, but insiders say the family supports her decision, emphasising personal conviction and peace of mind.
