Oyo State governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adebayo Adelabu, on Friday held a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, in Abuja.
The meeting, which took place at the national secretariat, was described by a source familiar with the development as private and not open to journalists.

Details of the discussions were not made public, as both parties reportedly declined to brief the press after the engagement.
However, The Merit Newspaper reports that political observers believe the meeting may be connected to ongoing consultations within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of key internal party activities and emerging political alignments in Oyo State.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Adelabu nor the APC leadership had issued an official statement on the outcome of the meeting.
