Waterside, Ogun State — Hon. Adenaya Fatai, popularly known as Madawoni, a former House of Assembly candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections for Ogun State’s Waterside Constituency, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, marked his birthday with heartfelt appreciation to political allies and well-wishers across the country.
In a statement issued to commemorate the occasion, Adenaya expressed profound gratitude to Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a leading governorship aspirant in Oyo State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing him as a pillar of support and a major influence in his post-banking career journey.
“Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has remained the major architect behind my success since I left the banking industry,” Adenaya said. “His kindness, mercy and unwavering support have been consistent, and I remain deeply grateful for his belief in me.”
The former NNPP candidate noted that the birthday messages and goodwill he received from friends, associates and political stakeholders reflected the enduring bonds built through years of service and shared political aspirations.
Adenaya also singled out the member representing Waterside Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle, popularly known as Lawee, for his kind gesture.
“I sincerely appreciate Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle (Lawee) for remembering my birthday and for his show of brotherhood and political maturity,” he added.
Extending his goodwill beyond Waterside, Adenaya conveyed warm greetings to his former colleagues who contested the 2023 general elections under the NNPP across Ogun State, collectively known as the G7.
