The Senator representing Borno Central, Kaka Shehu Lawan, has disbursed a total of ₦135,650,000 to All Progressives Congress (APC) executives across his constituency ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
According to a statement shared on Friday via Facebook by his Legislative Assistant, Usman Alkali, the cash support was distributed on Thursday to party executives as part of efforts to ease their preparation for the festive period.
Alkali, who provided details of the gesture, said the intervention marks the third time Senator Lawan has extended such financial support since he assumed office in the National Assembly.
The Merit Newspaper reports that Alkali noted that the funds were shared among APC stakeholders in Borno Central, describing the initiative as a way of appreciating their commitment to strengthening democratic structures and sustaining party activities in the constituency.
