Former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos to discuss preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Yari, who was accompanied by his son, Ahmad, disclosed the meeting in a post shared on his official X account.
According to Yari, the discussions centred on preparations for the 2027 election, strengthening unity within the APC and ensuring that the party is adequately prepared for the campaign ahead.
He said the APC remained focused on the interests of Nigerians and would continue to work towards earning the confidence and support of the people.

The meeting comes as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections and begins to organise its campaign structure ahead of the polls.

Yari’s appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council places him at the centre of the party’s campaign planning and mobilisation efforts as the election approaches.

The APC is expected to use the coming months to consolidate its structures across the country, mobilise its supporters and communicate the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration to the electorate.
The meeting in Lagos is therefore part of ongoing engagements among senior APC leaders as the party prepares for the 2027 presidential contest.
