The Interim National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, on Monday paid a condolence visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the recent kidnapping and killing of teachers and pupils in the state.

The delegation, which also included the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Adolphus Wabara, visited the governor in Ibadan to sympathise with the government and people of Oyo State following the tragic incident.
Speaking during the visit, the PDP leaders expressed sadness over the attack and described the incident as painful and unfortunate. They urged security agencies and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward tackling insecurity and safeguarding lives across communities, particularly in schools and rural areas.

The Merit Newspaper reports that the delegation also reaffirmed the party’s solidarity with the Oyo State government and families affected by the incident.

Governor Makinde appreciated the delegation for the visit and their show of concern, while reiterating his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies and strengthening measures aimed at protecting residents of the state.
