A document purportedly containing the names of “successful candidates” for the Lagos State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election has surfaced online, generating reactions across political circles in Lagos State.
The document, which appeared in a social media status post, bore the official logo and letterhead of the APC Lagos State chapter, with the address listed as Plot 11, ACME Road, Ogba, Ikeja. It was titled: “List of Successful Candidates for State House of Assembly for the 2027 General Election.”
The Merit Newspaper reports that the list contained names of candidates across the 40 constituencies in Lagos State, including Surulere, Mushin, Agege, Kosofe, Lagos Island, Badagry, Epe, Alimosho, and Ikeja, among others.

Among the names seen on the document were Bakare-Odunuga Barakat for Surulere 01, Ayinde-Marshall Damilola for Surulere 02, Dr. Seriki Muritala for Kosofe 02, Saheed Bankole for Eti-Osa 01, and Hon. Ajani Ibrahim for Lagos Mainland 01.
The document was reportedly signed by Lagos APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi.
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos APC had not issued any official statement confirming or denying the authenticity of the circulated list. It also remains unclear whether the document represents an internal projection, unofficial arrangement, or a finalized party position ahead of the 2027 elections.
The emergence of the document has already sparked conversations among party members and political observers, especially as political activities ahead of the next electoral cycle gradually gather momentum.
Some party loyalists have questioned the timing of the circulation, noting that official primary elections and party nomination processes are yet to commence formally.

Political analysts say the development may trigger debates within the ruling party over internal democracy, candidate selection, and zoning arrangements in various constituencies across Lagos State.
