Lagos, Nigeria – June 15, 2025

The Southwest chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Chairman/CEO of Bullion Records, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has celebrated the 70th birthday of business mogul and political elder, Chief (Dr.) Adewale Teluwo, describing him as a rare breed of leader committed to youth empowerment, nation-building, and business excellence.

The colourful celebration took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Divine Event Centre, Obanikoro Bus Stop, Ikorodu Road, Lagos, and drew an array of political associates, business stakeholders, family members, and friends.

While speaking with journalists at the event, Ambassador Ajadi expressed admiration for Chief Teluwo’s impact on young Nigerians, particularly in politics and entrepreneurship.

“Chief Teluwo is one of the few elders who believe that young people deserve a real chance to lead and succeed,” Ajadi said.
“His open-door policy and wise counsel have helped shape the political paths of several emerging leaders across Nigeria.”
“Celebrating a man like Chief Teluwo is not just about age, but about honouring a life that has contributed significantly to the growth of individuals, institutions, and the nation at large.”

Ajadi also added that Chief Teluwo’s legacy of integrity and generosity should serve as a model to those currently in leadership positions.

As Nigeria looks to the future, Ambassador Ajadi noted that the country needs more visionary elders like Chief Teluwo who can mentor and motivate the next generation of leaders.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Kehinde Teluwo, one of Chief Teluwo’s sons and the NNPP’s Ogun Central Senatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections, expressed gratitude to God for his father’s life and thanked Ambassador Ajadi for honouring their family with his presence.

“We’re deeply grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us, especially Ambassador Ajadi,” Hon. Kehinde Teluwo said.
“It’s a blessing to have a father who is not just a family man, but also a father figure to many in the political and business circles.”

Chief Adewale Teluwo, the celebrant, has a long-standing legacy in Nigeria’s corporate world. He was the former Chairman of the defunct Vigilant Insurance Company Ltd and currently serves as Chairman of several thriving enterprises, including Ibukunoluwa Industries Limited and Bukson Investment Limited.
