Popular Nigerian comedian Babatee has publicly apologized to fellow comedian Ijoba Lande following a social media controversy surrounding an alleged affair with Lande’s wife. The incident, which reportedly stemmed from a game of ‘Truth or Dare,’ has sparked outrage among fans and social media users, with many condemning Babatee for what they describe as an immoral act.

In a heartfelt post shared on his social media platforms, Babatee expressed deep regret over the incident, admitting to his wrongdoing and taking full responsibility.

“I am sorry about what happened between me and Ijoba Lande. I’m so pissed at myself right now. A lot of people do not understand what they call ‘Truth or Dare.’ It is not a childhood game; it is an adult game. I take full responsibility for my actions,” Babatee wrote.

He went further to appeal to Ijoba Lande and his fans, promising that such an incident would never happen again.

“Please join me in saying sorry to Ijoba Lande and my fans. This will never happen again. I’m sorry, Ijoba Lande,” he added.

The controversy erupted after reports surfaced on social media that Babatee had been involved with Ijoba Lande’s wife under circumstances linked to the ‘Truth or Dare’ game. The revelation led to widespread criticism, with many accusing him of betraying a fellow entertainer and disrespecting marital boundaries.

While Ijoba Lande has yet to make a public statement regarding Babatee’s apology, social media reactions remain divided. Some have called for the issue to be resolved privately, while others insist that Babatee’s actions were inexcusable.

Observers believe this controversy highlights the increasing tendency of personal conflicts among celebrities spilling onto social media, sparking widespread public debates and moral judgments. Whether Ijoba Lande will accept Babatee’s apology remains to be seen, but the incident has undoubtedly left a mark on both comedians’ reputations.

Public Reactions and the Way Forward

As reactions continue to pour in, some industry insiders have urged the duo to settle their differences amicably, warning that prolonged public feuds could damage their careers. Others argue that the controversy serves as a cautionary tale about the potential consequences of reckless behavior in the entertainment industry.

For now, all eyes are on Ijoba Lande to see whether he will respond to Babatee’s public apology and if the rift between the two comedians can be mended.
