Taye Currency Prostrates Before Pasuma Wonder

By Ibrahim Kegbegbe

Renowned Fuji musician, Alhaji Adebisi Taye Akande, popularly known as Taye Currency, has publicly apologized to his mentor and former close associate, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, also known as Oganla Fuji, following mounting pressure from Fuji music fans. The reconciliation took place on Friday, March 28, 2025, during the ongoing Hummrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

In a viral video circulating online and obtained by The Merit Newspaper, Taye Currency was seen in Pasuma’s hotel room, where he prostrated before the Fuji icon, signaling a heartfelt plea for forgiveness. The move came after fans accused him of arrogance and disrespect toward Pasuma, leading to a rift that had strained their relationship.

“Pasuma Wonder is my boss, my mentor, and my father in Fuji music. I deeply regret any disrespect towards him, and I sincerely ask for his forgiveness. I also appeal to all members of Pasuma Fuji Club to forgive me and allow us to restore the strong bond we once shared,” Taye Currency said during the emotional moment.

Pasuma, in his response, accepted the apology and urged his fans to do the same. “Your apology is accepted. I want all members of Pasuma Fuji Club to kindly forgive him. We are one big family, and unity is key in the Fuji music industry,” Pasuma stated.

The reconciliation marks a significant moment in Fuji music history, as both musicians have been influential figures in the genre for decades. Their reunion is expected to bring renewed harmony within the Fuji music fraternity and among their loyal fan bases.

With this development, Fuji enthusiasts and stakeholders anticipate a possible collaboration between the two artists, rekindling the musical synergy that once defined their relationship.
