Osun, Feb. 22, 2025 – Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State participated in the ongoing local government elections on Saturday, casting his vote at his designated polling unit in Sagba/Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, Ede.
Arriving early at the polling station, Adeleke was accompanied by security personnel and aides. After voting, he addressed journalists, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to free, fair, and credible elections while urging residents to exercise their civic responsibility peacefully.
“This election is a testament to our dedication to grassroots democracy. I encourage all eligible voters to come out and make their voices heard,” he said.
Reports from various polling units across the state indicate a generally peaceful atmosphere, with a significant voter turnout. The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) assured the public of a transparent process, with security agencies maintaining order.
As the election progresses, stakeholders remain observant, viewing it as a test of the state’s political landscape under Adeleke’s leadership.
