Sheikh Abdul Rasheed Adeleke Al-Irshad

Sheikh Abdul Rasheed Adeleke, the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Irshad Travel and Tour and a renowned Muslim cleric, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was 49 years old. The late philanthropist will be laid to rest today, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in his hometown, Oshogbo, Osun State, at 10:00 AM, by Islamic rites.

Speaking with our correspondent, one of his close allies, Ustaz Muritadho Rufai Trimisiy, confirmed the circumstances surrounding Adeleke’s passing. “He slipped at his residence in Osapa London, Lekki, Lagos, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, we lost him shortly after,” Muritadho stated with grief.

Sheikh Abdul Rasheed Adeleke was widely known for his philanthropic contributions to society, particularly in the areas of education and community development. He was celebrated for supporting underprivileged families and providing scholarships for students to pursue higher education, both locally and internationally.

Condolences have continued to pour in from friends, associates, and members of the Muslim community, all of whom expressed shock and sadness over the sudden loss. “He was a man who lived his life serving Allah and humanity,” said Sheikh Ahmad Adisa, a longtime friend of the deceased. “We pray Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus. May Allah also give his family the strength to bear this loss.”

Sheikh Adeleke leaves behind a wife, children, and a legacy of selflessness and devotion to his faith. His demise has left a significant void in both the Muslim community and the philanthropic sector, where his efforts were deeply valued.

As family, friends, and associates gather in Oshogbo today to bid him farewell, his life and contributions to society will remain a source of inspiration to many.
