Prophet Akin John Oguntade

Ibadan, Oyo State —
The leading governorship aspirant in Oyo State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has showered glowing tributes on his father-in-law, Prophet Akin John Oguntade, as the renowned cleric marks his birthday on Monday, January 12, 2026.

In a heartfelt message made available to journalists on Monday, Ajadi described Prophet Oguntade as a man of deep faith, humility and spiritual consistency, whose life has touched countless individuals across Nigeria and beyond.

“As the Lord blesses your new age today, I pray that you shall continue to witness the fruitfulness of your labour. You shall always have what it takes to celebrate, may the Lord cause your joy to be full, and may your days be long. Amen. Happy birthday to you, sir,” Ajadi said.

The Oyo governorship hopeful noted that his father-in-law’s influence goes beyond the pulpit, stressing that Prophet Oguntade has played a major role in shaping the moral and spiritual outlook of many families and young ministers.

“Daddy has devoted his entire life to the service of God and humanity. His counsel, prayers and unwavering commitment to righteousness have made him a pillar not just in our family, but in the Christian community,” Ajadi added.

He further praised the celebrant’s ability to remain steadfast in faith despite changing times, saying Prophet Oguntade represents the kind of spiritual leadership Nigeria needs.

“At a time when values are being tested everywhere, Daddy has remained a symbol of discipline, prayer and integrity. He is a spiritual compass to many of us, and I am personally grateful for his guidance in my family life and public service,” Ajadi said.

Prophet Akin John Oguntade, who is widely respected in Christian circles, is known for decades of pastoral work, prayer ministry and mentorship, having raised many pastors and church workers who are now serving across different parts of the country.

The birthday celebration, according to family sources, is being marked with prayers, thanksgiving and quiet appreciation of God’s faithfulness, in line with the cleric’s humble lifestyle.

Ambassador Ajadi reiterated his prayers for renewed strength, good health and continued divine grace for the celebrant, expressing hope that Prophet Oguntade will continue to witness more years of fulfilment and impact.

“As a family, we are blessed to have him. May God grant him many more fruitful years in peace and sound health,” Ajadi said.
