Badagry, Lagos —

In a move aimed at strengthening grassroots security and accelerating community development in Badagry, the Chief Executive Officer of Finar Hotel Badagry and the Alado Group of Companies, Chief Ibrahim Kilanko Olalowo, on Monday, January 12, 2026, received top officials of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) at his office, pledging deeper collaboration with the state government.

The delegation, led by CS Zannu Samson, paid the visit to formally appreciate Chief Olalowo’s long-standing contributions to Badagry and to seek his continued support as a key stakeholder in Lagos State’s community-based security architecture.

Speaking during the visit, CS Zannu Samson described Chief Olalowo as “one of the most dependable partners of peace and development in Badagry.”

“We are here not just to pay a courtesy visit, but to recognise a man who has consistently invested in the security, welfare and future of Badagry,” Samson said.

“Chief Ibrahim Kilanko Olalowo has created jobs for our youths, supported the less privileged and contributed immensely to the stability of this community. These are the same values that the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps stands for.”

Samson noted that as Lagos continues to expand, community intelligence, local partnerships and private-sector support have become critical to effective policing and crime prevention, especially in border towns like Badagry.

“Badagry is strategic to Lagos State. With its borders, tourism potential and growing population, we need strong community partners. That is why we are seeking deeper cooperation with stakeholders like Chief Olalowo,” he added.

Members of the Badagry Central Command of the LNSC also commended the hotelier and businessman for what they described as his “consistent, people-centred leadership,” saying his investments in hospitality, youth employment and philanthropy had helped reduce crime by giving young people legitimate sources of income.

“When youths have jobs and hope, crime reduces. Chief Olalowo has provided both in Badagry,” one of the officers said.

In his response, Chief Ibrahim Kilanko Olalowo expressed gratitude to the officers for what he called a “humbling and encouraging” visit, reaffirming his commitment to Lagos State and the people of Badagry.

“I truly appreciate CS Zannu Samson and his team for taking the time to come here today,” Olalowo said.

“Whatever I am today is by the grace of God, not by power or might. And because God has been kind to me, I see it as a duty to give back to society.”

The Finar Hotel boss pledged to increase his support for the Neighbourhood Safety Corps and other development-driven initiatives in the state.

“I will continue to contribute my best to the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps and to the development of Lagos State, especially Badagry,” he said.

“Our community must be safe for businesses to grow, for tourism to thrive, and for our children to have a future.”
Olalowo also used the occasion to call on Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to further equip the LNSC to enhance its effectiveness.

“I respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to continue to support the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps with more equipment and logistics,” he said.

“They are on the frontline of community security, and with better tools, they can do even more for Lagosians.”

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, established to complement the Nigeria Police Force through community intelligence, patrols and early-warning systems, has become a key pillar of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s security and governance strategy.

For residents of Badagry, Monday’s meeting signalled not just a handshake between a businessman and security officers, but a renewed commitment to a safer, more prosperous community — powered by partnership between government, private enterprise and the people.
