The Presidency has allayed public concerns over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s health, confirming that he is hale and hearty following a minor stumble during an official engagement in Ankara, Turkey.

According to officials, the incident occurred when the President momentarily lost his balance after stepping on a poorly laid carpet at the venue of the event. The Presidency stressed that the stumble was not health-related and did not in any way affect the President’s physical well-being or ability to carry out his official duties.

Presidential aides explained that President Tinubu quickly regained his balance and proceeded with the programme as scheduled, including bilateral meetings with Turkish officials. They described the incident as minor and cautioned against speculative narratives, noting that such slips are not unusual during public events.

The clarification comes amid heightened public scrutiny of leaders’ health during international engagements. The Presidency reaffirmed that President Tinubu remains fully engaged in his diplomatic activities in Turkey and continues to discharge his responsibilities without interruption.
