Lagos — Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday inaugurated the Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing the movement as a grassroots-driven initiative designed to deepen public understanding of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor said the initiative was created to take the federal government’s policies and programmes directly to communities across Lagos State, moving from neighbourhood to neighbourhood to explain how the agenda impacts the daily lives of citizens.

According to Sanwo-Olu, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will engage with residents at the grassroots level, listen to their concerns, and provide clear and honest information about ongoing reforms and progress under the Tinubu administration.

“We know people are busy, and we also know that some are sceptical,” the governor said. “This movement is about meeting people where they are, listening as much as we speak, and sharing information honestly and directly.”

He stressed that the initiative prioritises direct engagement, community presence, and trust-building, noting that effective governance requires constant dialogue with the people.

As part of his support for the programme, Sanwo-Olu announced the donation of buses to each of the 20 newly inaugurated coordinators, representing all the local government areas in Lagos State. He said the buses would enhance their mobility and effectiveness in reaching communities.

The Merit Newspaper reports that the governor reaffirmed Lagos State’s commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging sustained engagement with residents and continuous efforts to strengthen public trust.
