President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Thursday for Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform the lesser Hajj, known as Umrah, and pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and progress.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its citizens during the spiritual exercise.

Before departing Nigeria, Tinubu is expected to commission newly acquired Nigerian Air Force equipment at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The President is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the pilgrimage.
