Lagos, Nigeria — The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) chieftain and public relations expert, Abioro Damilare Athande, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose, the Vice Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), who died on September 20, 2025, barely 55 days after her inauguration.

Ajose’s sudden demise has thrown the Badagry community into mourning, cutting short what many described as a promising political journey.

In his condolence message, Abioro, a former senatorial aspirant for Ogun West Senatorial District and Chief Executive Officer of Dardolips Information Global Technology, described the late Ajose as “a beacon of hope for grassroots development and a selfless leader committed to public service.”

“Princess Oluremi Ajose was not just a politician but a true servant of the people,” Abioro said. “Her short time in office has already demonstrated her passion for uplifting the lives of her people in Badagry. Her death is a monumental loss not only to her immediate family and constituents but to Lagos State and Nigeria at large.”

The NNPP chieftain further described Ajose as a role model and one of the most impactful female politicians in Lagos State. “Her death came as a shock,” Abioro added. “I pray that God will console Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Oyekan Adekanmi Ilufemiloye Ajose Possi, the Alapa of Apa Kingdom, the Chiefs, the citizens of Apa Kingdom, the good people of Badagry West Local Government Area, Lagos State, and Nigerians at large. May God grant our beloved sister, mother, and leader eternal rest.”

He also urged the family and political associates of the deceased to take solace in the legacies she left behind, stressing that leaders like Ajose are remembered not for the length of their service, but for the impact of their dedication.

“The measure of life is not in its length but in its depth,” Abioro emphasised. “Princess Ajose lived a life of purpose, and her name will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew her.”

Princess Ajose, who only assumed office in late July 2025, was celebrated for her grassroots connection and her vision for inclusive governance in Badagry West. Colleagues in the council described her as a “bridge-builder” who prioritised unity and development.

Community leaders in Badagry have also joined in the outpouring of tributes, describing her death as “a painful reminder of the fragility of life and the urgency of service.”

As condolences continue to pour in, the people of Badagry remember her as a symbol of dedication and a leader whose promise was cut short too soon.
