The candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has urged newly married couples to build their homes on love, forgiveness, unity and prayer, describing them as essential ingredients for a successful and prosperous marriage.

The ceremony, which celebrated the white wedding of Miss Abidemi Oyerinde and Mr. Jesuseun Fajogun in Ibadan, was also graced by the Ogun State New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Chairman, Barrister Femi Aina, and the ALGON Chairman of Oyo State, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, alongside family members, friends and other well-wishers who gathered to witness the solemnization of the union.
Ajadi gave the advice on Saturday while serving as Chairman of the occasion at the white wedding ceremony held at Christ Wonderful Power Bible Church (CWPBC), Ilupeju Idi Obi, Ibadan.

The wedding reception later took place at the First Cooperative Hall, Ogbere Road, beside Aries Gas, Muslim Area, Ibadan.
Delivering his remarks, Ambassador Ajadi congratulated the couple and prayed for peace, fruitfulness and prosperity in their home.

He described love as the foundation upon which enduring marriages are built. “Love is the beginning of long life and prosperity in marriage. Husband and wife should always see themselves as lovers, companions and partners who are destined to journey through life together,” he said.
Ajadi advised the couple to embrace forgiveness whenever disagreements arise, noting that misunderstandings are inevitable in every relationship.

“There may be little misunderstandings in marriage, but what sustains a home is the ability to forgive. Do not allow anger to linger. Learn to settle issues amicably and continue to love one another,” he stated.

He reminded the couple that marriage unites two individuals into one family and urged them to remain united in all circumstances.

“You are one family now. Whatever affects one person affects the other. Build your home with understanding, patience and mutual respect,” he said.
The APM Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate further stressed the importance of spirituality in marriage, urging the couple to maintain a life of prayer and devotion to God.
“Prayer should be a daily practice in the home. A family that prays together remains strong together. Encourage each other spiritually and remain committed to God,” Ajadi advised.
He also emphasized the importance of mutual care and responsibilities among couples, saying acts of kindness and support strengthen marital bonds.
“I pray that this union will be blessed with peace, joy, progress and prosperity. May your home continue to flourish and may God grant you the wisdom to sustain your marriage in love and harmony,” he prayed.
The wedding ceremony featured exchange of vows, prayers for the couple and a colourful reception attended by relatives, associates and dignitaries from different walks of life.
