Veteran Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, popularly known as Oganla Fuji and Ijoba Fuji, has issued a strong warning to fans, bloggers and social media users against using his name or brand to insult, abuse or defame fellow artistes.

Pasuma made the statement on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the United Kingdom through a video shared on his official social media platforms, stressing that the values he has upheld throughout his decades-long music career do not support online hostility or attacks on colleagues in the entertainment industry.

In the viral video, the Fuji icon said:
“This is an official warning from Pasuma’s management to anyone using the Pasuma brand name to insult, abuse, or defame other artists, whether you are a fan or a blogger. Such actions do not represent the values of the Pasuma brand. Going forward, anyone found engaging in this behavior will face appropriate legal action. Please be guided accordingly.”

The award-winning singer explained that while he appreciates the unwavering support of his fans across Nigeria and the diaspora, such support should never translate into cyberbullying, harassment or personal attacks against other entertainers.

Pasuma noted that respect, professionalism and peaceful coexistence remain core principles of the Pasuma brand, adding that no supporter has been authorised to speak on his behalf in a manner capable of damaging the reputation of another artiste.

The music legend also warned that his management would no longer tolerate individuals who hide behind fan loyalty or blogging activities to spread defamatory content, misinformation or abusive comments using his name.

According to him, anyone found engaging in such acts should be prepared to face appropriate legal consequences.

The statement has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many entertainment followers praising Pasuma for promoting respect and responsible conduct among fans.

The Merit Newspaper reports that observers say the warning comes at a time when rivalry among supporters of different musicians has increasingly spilled onto social media, often resulting in insults, false allegations and unnecessary online confrontations.

Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential Fuji musicians, Pasuma has built a career spanning more than three decades, earning respect for his contributions to Fuji music and his collaborations across different genres. His latest message reinforces his commitment to preserving peace within the entertainment industry while protecting the integrity of his brand.
