Abuja — The crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took a dramatic turn on Tuesday as some party members forcefully removed former National Youth Leader, Sunday Ude-Okoye, from an ongoing Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.
Ude-Okoye, who has been presenting himself as the party’s National Secretary, was confronted by aggrieved members who insisted he had no legitimate claim to the position. The heated exchange escalated, leading to his expulsion from the meeting.
The incident highlights growing tensions within the PDP as Alhaji Umar Damagun continues to oversee the party’s affairs as Acting National Chairman. With the opposition party struggling to maintain unity, questions remain over its readiness to challenge the ruling party in future elections.
