Kaduna, Nigeria -Friday, September 19, 2025

Kaduna, Nigeria — The ancient city of Kaduna erupted in excitement as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a courtesy visit to the family of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday.

From students to the elderly, the streets were filled with cheers, applause, and a standstill ovation that left no doubt about the people’s affection for the President.

Tinubu, who was warmly received by Aishat Buhari and other family members, was visibly moved by the massive show of solidarity. The overwhelming turnout is being interpreted by political observers as a strong signal that Kaduna — a traditional northern power base — is firmly behind President Tinubu as the nation looks ahead to 2027.
