The political landscape of Oyo Central Senatorial District witnessed renewed mobilisation on Saturday as youth leaders from across the 11 local government areas declared full support for the senatorial ambition of Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The youth leaders, led by Otunba Olusshola Agbebi, the Oyo Central Senatorial Youth Leader, alongside Lekan Bello, the Oyo State Youth Leader, converged on Ajadi’s residence in a solidarity visit aimed at reaffirming their political backing and strengthening grassroots coordination ahead of the polls.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Otunba Agbebi said the youth structure across Oyo Central had unanimously resolved to support Ajadi, describing him as a “leader with vision, capacity, and the will to deliver effective representation.”

“We are here to formally congratulate Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo on his emergence as the APM senatorial candidate for Oyo Central. As youth leaders across the 11 local government areas, we stand united in our resolve to support him fully. We are mobilised, we are ready, and we are committed to ensuring victory for him in 2027,” Agbebi stated.

He added that the youth structure would embark on sustained grassroots mobilisation, stressing that young people remain central to determining electoral outcomes in the district.

Also speaking, Lekan Bello, the Oyo State Youth Leader, described the visit as a demonstration of unity and political maturity among youths in the state.

According to him, “This is beyond politics; it is about securing a better future for Oyo Central. We believe Ambassador Ajadi has the capacity and experience to represent the district effectively at the Senate, and we are ready to stand behind him.”

In his response, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo expressed appreciation for the overwhelming show of support, describing it as a strong motivation to intensify his political engagement across the district.

“I am sincerely grateful for this visit and the confidence you have shown in my aspiration. This is a collective struggle for better representation and development in Oyo Central. I assure you that youth empowerment, job creation, and inclusive development will be top priorities of my legislative agenda,” Ajadi said.

He further emphasized that his ambition was driven by a desire to bring meaningful development to every community in Oyo Central Senatorial District, adding that young people would play a critical role in his governance blueprint.

“I believe in the strength, energy, and creativity of our youths. If given the mandate, I will ensure that they are not only included but actively empowered in governance and economic opportunities,” he added.

Ajadi also called for unity among party members and supporters, urging them to remain focused and committed to building a strong political movement capable of delivering victory in 2027.

Political observers note that the endorsement by youth leaders across the senatorial district signals growing political realignment ahead of the next general elections, as aspirants intensify consultations and grassroots engagements.
