Late Tunde Oladunjoye

By Ibrahim Kegbegbe

The Ogun State Chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has expressed deep condolences to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and the entire leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the sudden demise of the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, the Ogun State Chairman of the NNPP, Barrister Femi John Aina, described the late Oladunjoye as a man of exceptional character who conducted his political engagements with civility, maturity, and a godly disposition.

“Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye was not just a spokesperson for the APC, he was a statesman in the making. His style of politics was issue-based, devoid of bitterness, and focused on progress. He was a beautiful man inside and out,” Aina remarked.

He further noted that Oladunjoye’s contributions to political discourse in the state were significant, adding that his voice of reason, even while in opposition, was one that many respected across party lines.

“Though we belonged to different political parties, we shared mutual respect and admiration for his approach to political communication. His sojourn on earth was impactful and inspiring,” Aina stated.

Barrister Aina also used the opportunity to advocate for better health awareness among politicians, stressing the need for regular medical check-ups and rest.

“In the heat of political activities, we often ignore the signals our bodies give us. It is important that we prioritize our health and listen when our body says, ‘enough is enough,’” he advised.

He prayed for the repose of the late Oladunjoye’s soul, and strength for his family and political associates to bear the loss.

“On behalf of the NNPP family in Ogun State, we pray the Almighty grants him eternal rest and may he rise in glory. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Governor Abiodun, the APC family, and his loved ones at this difficult time,” Aina added.
