It was a moment of gratitude, reflection, and celebration as Hon. Abioro Damilare Athande, popularly known as ADA, marked his 40th birthday alongside his wedding anniversary with a thanksgiving service at Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), King’s Glory Parish, Ogun State.

The well-attended event brought together family members, political associates, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate a man many described as a rising figure in humanitarian leadership and grassroots politics.

Speaking during Thanksgiving, Athande expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of life, good health, and a sound mind. Reflecting on his journey so far, he said the milestone was not just a personal celebration but a renewed commitment to service.

“I return all glory to God for granting me the privilege to witness this new age in good health and peace of mind. At 40, my focus remains to serve humanity selflessly and contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria and the world at large,” he said.

He also used the occasion to appreciate the role of family in his life, paying tribute to his late parents for laying a solid foundation for his values and aspirations. In an emotional moment, he acknowledged the unwavering support of his wife, Arewa Abimbola Senami (née Hunge).

“My wife has been more than a partner—she is a pillar of strength, a prayer warrior, and a constant source of encouragement. I am deeply grateful for her love and support,” Athande added.

The celebrant also extended appreciation to his political stakeholders and mentors, noting that their guidance and belief in his vision have significantly shaped his career trajectory.
Members of the Mass Communication Class of 2016 of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, under the aegis of COSA, joined millions of well-wishers in celebrating Athande, describing him as a worthy ambassador of the institution.
In separate goodwill messages, prominent associates poured encomiums on the celebrant. The Chief Executive Officer of Wisdom Dose, Afodewu Sunday, popularly known as Sunafod, described Athande as a “twin brother” with whom he shares the same birth date.

“I pray that God blesses his new age with greater achievements. As he celebrates both his birthday and wedding anniversary, may his home continue to flourish in love and unity,” he said.
Similarly, Iroko Evenase Friday, CEO of Iroko Heritage Global Services Limited, congratulated Athande on the dual celebration, wishing him continued success in his personal and public life.

Well-wishers at the event also pledged their support for Athande’s political aspirations, expressing confidence in his leadership qualities and vision for the future.
